1.
What were your feelings on last season?
Bit
of a dissapointment really. We were top of the
league at xmas and still missed out on promotion
with 3 teams going up. Positives though, I thought
we played some of the best football seen so
far at the Plough. This was probably down to
Steve Loasby making us play from the back.
2. Are you looking forward to the new season?
How do you think the Plough will do?
Yes. The new signings have shown potential,
and if we get a settled squad who are committed
to the goal then I feel that we should be in
the running for promotion and a cup run would
be nice to take us back to the glory days.
3.
Which Plough players do you think we should
watch out for this season?
I
have been particularly impressed with James
Baldry on the left hand side of midfield and
defence. Also Jaco has shown a lot of potential
between the sticks and it would be nice to think
we will have one keeper all season.
4.
If you were to name the all time best Plough
player- who would you pick and why?
I
have got to agree with Dan and say Mark Chambers.
He is always reliable in the centre of defence
and has proven he is a top class defender but
Im a bit worried that his new girlfriend will
start affecting his performances this season.
5.
Are there any particular games that you are
looking forward to this season?
Well
due to the lack of local derbies then maybe
against Spartak or Houghton Athletic but we
might get a local side in the cup which would
be nice- maybe Eaton Bray Lions!
6.
What position do you feel you will play this
season?
Well
Ive always naturally played on the right wing
but pre-season the gaffers have put me all over-
sweeper, free role behind the front two(which
I definitely enjoyed). But with the management
reverting back to 4-4-2 then maybe I will find
myself back on the right wing but with Chambers
usually injured then you never know I might
be back at sweeper!
7.
How do you feel the new management duo will
do this season?
From
w hat Ive seen so far very well. They are willing
to try new formations and try players in different
positions but no doubt they will be judged by
results and the media will be out to get them
right from the start of the season.
8.
What are your best and worst memories whilst
playing for the Plough?
Best
memory is definetley winning the division 4
cup and promotion in the first season and scoring
in the cup final. Worst memory would be missing
a sitter and a penalty against Pitstone in the
first season because a win would have won us
a league and cup double in our inaugral season.
9. Do you think that the club can rediscover
the old team spirit that looked as though it
was missing last season?
Well
with two men at the helm who run blue and yellow
blood then maybe this could be the year that
the Plough rediscover that team spirit that
has always been the secret of our success.
10.
Have you set yourself any aims for the new season?
I
want to become more frequent on the scoresheet
but mainly be a part of some good football that
will take us up to division 2.
