Barry (Clooney) McKenna

Date of Birth: 25/07/58

Nationality: English

Home Town: Islington (North London)

Position: Defender

Squad Number: 16

Favourite football team: Arsenal

Interests: Guiness, most sports, music, cooking and food in general.

Car: Saab 9.3 Convertible

Football hero: Bobby Moore / George Best

Prediction for 2001/02 season: Bolton will be relegated, Arsenal for the treble (well I can dream !) Plough will underachieve during the first half (even though we will be winning) about 20 times & we wont concede half as many howlers as last year

Barry has been around almost every club in the Leighton leagues and never stays at a club for more than one season. It must just go to show how much he enjoys playing for the Plough because he has agreed to stay and play for another season.

Barry brings with him very good experience that passes down to the youngsters in the side. He can play almost anywhere along the back line (just about on the left) which means he is a very handy person to have about. He always gives 100 per cent when he's on the pitch and 110 per cent when he's not, trying to encourage the manager to bring him on!

Last Seasons Stats:

Games played: 19 (10)

Total games played: 29

League goals scored: 1

Cup goals scored: 0

Total goals: 1
